Large 3D Printed Sculptures

The Monolith manufactures oversized 3D printed sculptures and installation elements that few workshops in the region will attempt. We engineer large-format prints for hospitality interiors, event launches, retail flagship stores, and public realm projects. Our process starts with structural analysis, splitting the digital model into interlocking, internally braced segments that assemble on site into a rigid, seam-finished monolith. Print resolution, material density, and outer coating are specified to meet fire rating, impact resistance, and aesthetic requirements. Because we keep the full chain inside our Dubai facility, we eliminate the logistics risk of transporting fragile mega-sculptures. The result is a large-scale physical presence that rivals fiberglass or carved foam for visual mass, but with a fidelity and repeatability only additive manufacturing can achieve.

What materials and finishes can be used for large 3D printed sculptures?

We print in engineering-grade PLA, PETG, ASA, and nylon blends depending on structural and environmental needs. Finishes range from matte indoor textures to high-gloss automotive-grade paint, UV-stable outdoor coatings, and metallic cold-spray effects. For sculptures intended for public installation, we integrate steel armatures and weighted bases during assembly, then apply fire-rated and weather-resistant coatings. Material and finish selection is driven by the sculpture's location, anticipated handling, and visual brief, and is documented in a finish sample board for client approval before full production begins.
